Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Snimix team ("we", "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the Snimix website at https://snimix.ai, the Snimix browser extension, and related services (together, the "Service").

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — when you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and profile picture. If you use the Service without signing in, we assign a temporary guest identifier.
  • Content you submit — product page links, product photos and text you upload, and the options you pick (ad style, language, format).
  • Generated content — the video ads and intermediate assets the Service creates for you.
  • Purchase information — the token packages you buy and transaction identifiers from our payment providers. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors; we never receive or store full card numbers.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser and device type, and usage events collected through cookies, local storage and analytics tools, used to keep sessions working and to understand how the Service is used.

2. Browser extension

The Snimix browser extension is designed to access as little as possible:

  • It reads the address and contents of a page only when you explicitly invoke it on that page (the "activeTab" permission). It does not track your browsing history and does not run on pages in the background.
  • It stores your session tokens locally in the browser ("storage" permission) so you stay signed in.
  • It uses the browser identity APIs ("identity" permission) solely to let you sign in with your Google account.

The link or page you submit is sent to our servers only to build the product card and generate your ad.

3. Google user data

When you sign in with Google, we receive only your basic profile (email address, name, profile picture) and use it solely to create and operate your account. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with equivalent privacy commitments.

Snimix's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

4. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • provide the Service — resolve product pages, generate video ads, deliver your results and keep your account working;
  • process purchases and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • respond to support requests;
  • measure and improve how the Service works;
  • comply with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers acting on our behalf — hosting and infrastructure providers, AI model providers that process your submitted content to generate ads, payment processors, and analytics providers — and where required by law. These providers may only use the information to provide their services to us.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing [email protected]; we will delete it except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. International transfers

We operate globally, and your information may be processed on servers located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Service.

11. Contact
